Course overview

This course is spread across five units: two mandatory and three optional.

Number and Number Processes

Number 1.1: Recognising and using whole numbers.
Number 1.2: Recognising very simple fractions.
Number 1.3: Addition and subtraction of whole numbers.
Number 1.4: Simple multiplication and division.

Number 2.1: Selecting appropriate calculations.
Number 2.2: Using numerical notation.
Number 2.3: Carrying out simple calculations.
Number 2.4: Using results to make decisions.

Shape, Space and Data

Recognising 2D shapes and 3D objects, describing position, comparing shapes, continuing patterns.
Adding to simple graphs, interpreting data, and making choices based on likelihood.

Measurement

Using measuring instruments, interpreting scales, recording measurements, and comparing items.

Money

Counting money, using coins and notes, calculating cost and change, and making decisions.

Time

Days, months, clocks, and simple time and date intervals.
